Rebelle has become a FAST favorite of mine as I love their watercolors! I've been looking around for decent Adobe replacements because honestly, I'm really tired of forking over money for not much return in value. You'd think after 20+ years of working with the programs I'd be some loyalist but I'm just exhausted with the company nickel and diming me at every corner. I can't even download free content on in their image libraries, it just sends me into a loop and in some cases, tells me I need to pay for FREE items.

Canva has been pushing AI really hard, and that’s my biggest concern for all of these creative programs

Affinity was purchased by canva so expect thier bullshit to seep into that too. Time learn software programming and open source competitors

Hi! if you could help me out at all I'd really appreciate it! I want to start digitally drawing, and I already have a computer, but I need a touch screen in order to draw so I've been trying to find a a drawing tablet that will do. I only need to draw, no other computer-like utilities, but I need it to work even when not connected to my computer so I can hook it up to transfer all my art. I'm hoping a option like this exists, please let me know if you know of anything! Thank you!

Thank goodness I canceled my Adobe subscription a long time ago. Their business ethics sucks, and their software architecture is crap. Capture One, Affinity, and DaVinci Resolve is far more professional than the Adobe suite.

Figma or sketch for ui or web design. I use Figma but because its collaborative, web based and I started on windows people still use sketch.

Great drawings Brad! I've seen several of your videos. Very clear and entertaining to watch. I want to buy a tablet, but I'm not sure whether to get a Samsung S9 FE Plus or an iPad Air. (I switched from an iPhone to a Samsung a few years ago and I like the change) I like to draw, but I think I want to edit photos and not have to open the computer all the time. Besides the internet, UA-cam, etc.

For the brush engine, big, simple yet precise workspace, and the massive community for tutorials/templates/brushes, Procreate 100%. For the sheer amount of features, pixel to vector, cross-platform, ability to switch personas seamlessly, affinity. i have both, still much much much cheaper than adobe. i love them both

There’s only one issue. If you ever want or need to get a job at a company, you’d be at a huge disadvantage because instead using industry standard tools, you used something else. Companies don’t care that you master Afinity, or Krita or anything else, they need you to master what they use

I'm using VS Code. There's an extension that allows you to open the webpage that you're making in a browser that allows you to see your changes in real time. The group that controls Audacity did something a while back to piss off people. I was able to find Tenacity by searching "tenacity software", and it looks very similar to Audacity.

For me I just wanted something more notebook sized and easy to fit into my edc especially for drawing. It can run some light UA-cam but I’m not gaming on this thing, that’s what my switch is for lol, anyway this thing is the perfect fit for me

Sounds like you like it a lot for colors, lite weight and function but matte screen not quite to texture of other more grippy screens. I love the grip texture on my Astropad matte iPad Pro cover. Would not want smoother. I hate working on smooth glass like iPad without matte screen.

After watching this, I just installed the app and within a minute, I'm just loving this app.

I think GIMP needs the type of overhaul that Blender got when they moved to version 3, it's night and day. I could never get behind the clunky UI/UX of Blender 2.x, but in 3, it all changed (basically because they brought in UI/UX professionals). If GIMP could do that, it would change everything.

Can one use it with Boox devices and customise the buttons?

Photo Mechanic is missing as the Bridge alternative... Ironically Photo Mechanic is old as.. and still a stable horse for professional photographers.. Bridge never managed to doom it irrelevant. Also DxO PhotoLAB is looking like its gonna take the Raw conversion thrown in this mayhem.. but its more like a bastard child of Photoshop and Lightroom. I think most professional photographers could go with this list: DxO - PhotoLAB (or Capture One if you really like subscription still) Affinity Photo Photo Mechanic and Davinci Resolve for video

As a professor, several years ago before these complaints added up, I took on the adobe cloud subscription at a reduced instructor price. However over time, the price started going up, so I called to cancel. That was when I discovered it was an annual fee. Furthermore, discussing this with customer service, they told me that if I canceled, I still had to pay immediately for the entire rest of the year, but that I would also immediately lose access. I asked can’t I call you now to inform you that I want to cancel when my annual time is up? To which I was told, no I have to call during the last month. So let me get this straight - I can cancel right now and immediately lose access, but I still have to pay up for the rest of the year, is that correct? Customer service agent told me that it was correct. I wasn’t sure just what my rights would be and so, I paid off the year and canceled? I have been sharing my displeasure with Adobe ever since. I am now the happy user of a paid for Davinci Resolve.

Took me changing my payment method, threatening them with a lawsuit and escalating the matter to get them to let me cancel. 4years of auto payments for something I never used and needed a masters’ degree to use! And it would not let me cancel until I changed my payment method. Wrong one to mess with lol Cancelled and offered me free services I will never use because I don’t trust that will not try to charge me. Greedy bums taking advantage of creatives! Burn in hell, Adobe!

Those Apps are a time-scam, If you're artists, you shouldn't worry about some machine learning your Style, or Some company making money out of your works. People rage about algorithms learning how they draw, but not complaining about how they learn to trick your brain. Most one dimensional way of thinking i stumbled upon in years. you should worry about the time you spend watching content thrown at you that wont inspire you, wont teach and wont benefit your Personal growth. Content that leaves you raging in the comments. You stop teaching them to draw? If you Stop teaching them to suck your lifetime in exchange for rotting your brain you can start think you've did something worth of mentioning. Otherwise it sounds more like gatekeeping of people who mystify anything they do, even leaving an App to Join another one. Hand Up you did it

Affinity Designer is a life saver. I was so confused and pissed off that there is not package for Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.

Last month they charged me 10 times more!!!!! I will install cracked version. At the end both of them are spyware. Where is the law to support customers like me that paid adobe?

WAY back in the day, Adobe did create an industry revolution with their software (as a graphic arts college teacher and production journeyman since the 80's, I took part in that revolution!), and could even make the claim to be an early adopter of AI software tech. But ever since they imposed their subscription model on their customers they've completely screwed the graphic arts industry, if only in the pocketbook alone. Now they've created a situation which steers students AWAY from the trade (which loses more employees every year), and could (hopefully) open the door to a smart competitor who doesn't make the mistake of falling in love with their mirror. Adeiu, Adobe! You've had this coming for quite some time!

I got the s7 fe but I have to say the colors really pop, almost like it's an oled screen. And as far as I know it's an ips screen. Is the xiaomi really better then this? That's crazy
